St. Charles Retreat

St. Charles Retreat center is about 15 miles south of downtown San Diego near Imperial Beach. To get there go south on Interstate 5 to the Palm Ave. Imperial Beach exit. Turn right at the signal and immediately move over to the left lane. Turn left at the first signal (Saturn Ave.) Go about 3 blocks and turn right into the driveway just past St. Charles Church. The retreat center is at the end of the driveway just before you get to the street (18th St.) If Interstate 805 is more convenient, go south to Interstate 905, then west to Interstate 5 and go north. Take the Coronado Ave. exit and turn left (west) onto Coronado Ave. Go past the signal at Saturn and turn right onto 18th St. The retreat center is on your right.

Please park in the lot between the Retreat Center and the Nutrition Center. Make sure you bring all valuables into the center with you or lock them in the trunk of your car. Please enter at the south end of the building, where the hosting couple will check you in. The hosting couple will be there as early as 6:30 PM to direct you to your rooms. Please check in by at least 7:15 as we try to start as close to 7:30 as possible. The retreat Facility does not allow food in the bedrooms or smoking inside the buildings.

Mission San Luis Rey

Mission San Luis Re4050 Mission Ave. Oceanside

To get to the Mission San Luis Rey from Interstate 5, take the Highway 76 exit and go east aprox. 4 miles (to Rancho Del Oro Rd - Turn left proceed across Mission Ave. to the Mission parking lot. The retreat center is at the far-left side of the Mission buildings. Follow the signs to the Retreat Center Parking.

From Highway 15, take the Highway 78 exit west to El Camino Real in Oceanside. Go north (right) at the signal. Continue north until you reach Mission Ave. Turn right at Mission and follow the directions above.

From Highway 15 north (Riverside, Temecula, etc.) take the Highway 76 Pala/Oceanside exit west and go approximately 13.3 miles to the Mission. (Highway 76 becomes Mission Ave.) Turn right at the signal into the mission grounds.
